FUJIAN, China – April 2026 – Fujian Nanwang Environment Protection Scien-tech Co., Ltd. (Nanwang, stock code: 301355), the first listed company in China’s eco-friendly paper bag industry, has officially released its first Sustainability Report. The report covers the period from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025 and provides a comprehensive overview of the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices, performance data, and future commitments.
As a leading provider of sustainable packaging solutions – including экологичные бумажные пакеты and food-grade paper packaging – Nanwang serves multiple Fortune Global 500 enterprises and has been ranked among China’s Top 100 Packaging and Printing Enterprises for seven consecutive years. The publication of this inaugural Sustainability Report marks a significant milestone in the company’s journey toward transparent, responsible and long-term value creation.

Environmental Stewardship: Embedding Circularity into Operations
The report highlights Nanwang’s progress in building a resource-efficient and low-carbon production system. Key environmental achievements include:
- FSC Certification: Five factories obtained Forest Stewardship Council Chain of Custody (FSC-COC) certification, ensuring that all paper-based products originate from responsibly managed forests.
- Renewable Energy: 65% of rooftops across production facilities are covered by distributed photovoltaic systems. When fully connected, the Fujian North and South factories are expected to generate 8.32 million kWh annually, meeting 40% of their total electricity demand.
- Carbon Reduction: A waste heat recovery project enables the annual recovery of 1,128.6 TJ (terajoules) of heat, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 775 tonnes per year – equivalent to the carbon sink effect of planting 1,059 trees.
- Bio-based Innovation: The company has advanced PHA bio-based coating technology, which degrades naturally in soil and ocean without industrial composting. The first batch of pilot paper cups has been successfully produced.
- Waste Management: Total volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions were maintained at 11.57 tonnes, and 93.6% of non-hazardous waste (over 10,700 tonnes) was recycled.
- Compliance: During the reporting period, the company recorded zero environmental violations or major administrative penalties.
Nanwang also introduced innovative green products, including a waterproof self-sealing paper bag that won the Gold Award for Market Potential Development at the World Packaging Awards 2025, PFAS-free coated paper cups, and innovative paper-for-plastic solutions tailored for e-commerce and garment packaging.
People-Centric Workplace: Safety, Development and Inclusion
Nanwang’s sustainability strategy places people at the center. During the reporting period:
- Occupational Health: Zero work-related fatalities were recorded. The Fujian factory obtained ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management system certification. A total of 133 hazards were identified and rectified, achieving a 100% completion rate.
- Safety Training: The company conducted 74 safety training sessions and 4 emergency drills, with 1,391 employee participations.

Value Chain Collaboration and Industry Leadership
Nanwang actively collaborates with customers and suppliers to advance shared sustainability goals.
